 More About The Artist

Daniel Gulick Jr.

Daniel was born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania on April 8th 1982. A few years later his parents decided to make the trek out to Tulsa, Ok., where he has spent most of his life. He graduated from East Central high school and now attends Oklahoma State University where he will receive a degree in studio art in December. After graduation he will most likely return to Europe where he plans to live and continue painting.

Since living in Stillwater, Ok. for the past four and a half years Daniel has managed to become the most recognized muralist in town. He has been traveling various places to paint murals and to show his personal work for about 8 years now.

After starting CoughSyrupGreen.com in early 2003 Daniel decided to make the leap at painting murals full time. He also wanted to extend his hand to upcoming artists whom he felt had the potential and natural talents of being a successful artist. As of today he has three other people working with him; a graphic designer, a photographer, and another painter. He prides himself on helping other people to try and live their dreams through art.

Although his art shows tend to be made into events with live music, booths for upcoming artists, etc., rather than the typical art show, has been making some very nice press as well. The last art show Daniel had in Stillwater was a huge success according to the O’colly because “of the great band that rocked outside, the free food, and the controversial artwork”.

To sum up Daniel’s work, it would have to be thought of as a wide range of: feelings of insanity, bliss, sexuality, political ideas, emotions, and interactions with other human beings. His various styles of work show diversity in the different mediums used. These are the truths he looks for in everyday experiences whether complete abstraction or representational paintings.
